Many local jobs are filled by word of mouth. Let your band office, employment officer and family know what you're looking for.

Remote and hybrid work

Some office jobs can be done from home if you have reliable internet. Look for postings marked remote or hybrid.

Training that fits local jobs

First Aid, WHMIS, driver's licences (including Class 1 and 3), heavy equipment and trades pre-apprenticeship programs are in demand in many regions. Ask your local employment and training office about funding.
