Salary $37.00 hourly, for 30 hours per week

Work setting Various locations Responsibilities Tasks Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation Operate heavy equipment Read blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements Use International Organization for Standardization (ISO) pattern joystick controls Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks Measure distance, volume, length and weight Operate computer controlled equipment Understand the purpose, proper usgage and information found on material safety data sheets (MSDS) Complete onboard and other logs Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment Prepare accident reports Secure special attachments to equipment Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment Perform minor repairs to equipment Operate hydraulic pumping systems Experience and specialization Type of heavy equipment operated Bulldozer, large or small Gradall Grader Paver Area of work experience Backfilling Demolition Ditching Excavation Fine grading and finishing Land clearing Landscaping Material handling Rough grading Sloping and banking Snow removal Sub-grade excavating Trenching Type of industry experience Industrial/commercial/institutional (ICI) construction Residential construction Road construction Additional information Transportation/travel information Own transportation Own vehicle Valid driver's licence Work conditions and physical capabilities Physically demanding Attention to detail Fast-paced environment
